A toy library in France, set up as a micro-enterprise, was asking above all for management software. It needed to know which games it has, which family has taken each one and which come back late. Its invoices had to be in French and carry the statement its VAT-exemption scheme requires, «TVA non applicable, art. 293 B du CGI». And schools and nurseries have to be sent a quote before each activity session.
What we built
- Game catalogue with code, category, age and number of players; filters by age, category and availability, and on each game who has it and until when.
- Loans and returns: pick the game, the family and the length, and that is it. A «+7 days» button to extend. On return, the condition is logged — good, used, incomplete, needs repair — and missing pieces stay on the game's record for the next loan.
- Overdue items in plain sight: games in the catalogue, out on loan, overdue and loans this month; days overdue on each loan and a one-click email reminder to the family.
- Family records built for the trade: children with their ages, membership plan, renewal date, how they heard about the toy library and photo consent.
- Invoices and quotes in French: an accepted quote becomes an invoice in one click, and the PDF carries the article 293 B statement word for word.
- Online bookings for birthday parties, family game evenings and workshops with their own calendar, and the panel in five languages — French, Spanish, English, German and Portuguese — with a language switcher and the toy library's logo.
