Beginner lessons are most of the demand. The searcher has never surfed, is on holiday and wants tomorrow morning — which means the page has to answer, book and reassure in the same screen.
The holiday calendar drives everything. Demand arrives in defined weeks, from people who booked accommodation months ago and the lesson the night before, and pages that exist beforehand take the whole of it.
Children's camps are booked by parents in spring for the summer. They are searched with a completely different vocabulary — supervision, ages, times, lunch — and answered by hardly anyone.
Naming the beaches and describing the conditions reaches surfers who already know the area. It is a smaller audience than beginners but it returns, and it is the one that books equipment hire rather than lessons.
