Somebody with a brand is looking for a factory. Private label, contract manufacturing and co-packing are the terms used by a company that has customers waiting and no production of its own, which makes them the most valuable searches in this sector.
The small runs are underserved. A young brand with an order it cannot fulfil searches specifically for a manufacturer willing to take a short run, and most factories ignore that traffic entirely.
Buyers search by certification. A scheme name typed into a search box belongs to somebody working through a supplier checklist, and appearing there gets you onto a shortlist you never knew existed.
Product categories define the project. Hot sauce, mayonnaise, pesto and dressings each need different equipment and different handling, and naming what you actually make attracts projects that fit the plant.
