A company offering house clearance, cleaning and rubble removal had a 145-page website. Seventy were area pages, one per service and town, but no page brought them together, and the strip of links to other towns was written by hand and left towns out. Fourteen addresses returned errors, among them the legal notice, factory clearance and hoarding (Diogenes syndrome) cleaning. A 577-word house clearance page redirected to the home page. 28 pages had no main heading, 1,224 images had no alt text and each page's HTML weighed 293 KB at the median.
What we built
- 12 pages recovered from a backup of the hosting, almost 5,000 words: factory clearance, hoarding cleaning, cardboard collection, household goods collection and the legal notice, among others. The three that were genuinely empty were not restored: they redirect to where they belong.
- Not one address broken: the live pages keep their exact URL and the redirects that already worked are kept. The only true duplicate — two addresses for the same page about one town — becomes one, and the other redirects.
- An areas page: the 70 town pages, covering 34 towns, grouped by place. Each one links the same service in the other towns, now generated and complete.
- 399 FAQs across 95 pages, laid out as question and answer. The Google reviews the site already showed, separated by author instead of squashed into a list.
- Fixed WhatsApp and call buttons, and a quote form that opens email or WhatsApp with the message already written.
- One main heading per page, alt text on every image, 266 photos in WebP at two sizes and HTML down from 293 KB at the median to 51 KB.
