Nobody searches for a photographer in general. They search for a wedding, a newborn, a product or a headshot, and a site organised by genre is found while one organised by the photographer's name is not.
Price is typed openly and answered rarely. Publishing a starting figure, with what changes it, filters out the enquiries that were never affordable and reaches everybody who refuses to fill in a form to find out.
Businesses search for a result, not a service. Photographs for a website, an online listing or a menu is how a commercial buyer describes the need, and matching that language reaches budgets that repeat annually.
Occasions come with dates attached. A wedding, a christening or a company anniversary comes from somebody who already knows the day, and availability on that date is the only question that matters to them.
