People use the name of the condition. Arthritis, psoriasis, respiratory complaints and post-surgical recovery come from somebody who has managed a condition for years and has read a great deal about it. They travel midweek, stay a week and return every year.
The thermal water itself is a draw. People search for natural hot springs and for the experience of bathing outdoors in winter, which is a completely different intent from a spa treatment menu.
Packages compete with hotels. A guest comparing four nights here against four nights anywhere else needs the meals, the treatments and the programme priced as one thing rather than as extras.
Older travellers plan further ahead. They search earlier, read more, book longer stays and value clarity about accessibility, lifts and mobility far more than any photograph of a pool.
